Check out my new Etsy shop!
Congratulations, you have found me in the vast internet abyss.
My name is Cherine Perrin and I have been making glass beads since 1999. Although I did take a bit of a break during pregnancy, I am so happy to be back at the torch again! Working with hot glass has been a true passion of mine ever since my very first class. I have since studied with many renowned lampwork artist.
I use a variety of imported glass.... Moretti/Effetre, Vetrofond, German Lauscha & Czech glass. All of my beads are properly kiln annealed ("what the heck does that mean?") It just means that once a bead is made it is then directly placed in a kiln that is set at @ 960º. Once I am done making beads the kiln temperature is slowly lowered. This reduces the internal stress & makes for a much stronger glass bead. I hope that wasn't too much info... the moral of the story is just don't buy beads that haven't been annealed!
This site is always a changing, so check back often for new items! Have fun browsing - feel free to contact me if you have any questions.
